Art at Padnell enables our pupils to explore their creativity in a safe and supportive environment. They are able to produce creative work, exploring their ideas, use a range of different media, improve the proficiency of their skills, evaluate their own and others work and find out about great artists, craft makers and designers and how they may have contributed to the history and culture of different places in the world.

We teach art in all year groups, the schemes of work taught are sometimes linked to other topic areas or are  stand alone units of work. At the beginning of a topic or theme, pupils will look at work produced by an artist, will learn and practise skills, design and then complete their work and finally evaluate it. This work is recorded in art books that progress through the school with the pupil showing their learning journey.
